About Days of the week in Grenoble

Grenoble is located at the bottom of the bowl, consisting of the surrounding mountains, including those in the east, close to 3,000 m high, but the city itself is only 200 m above sea level.

In the south there is an open passage through the valley from the river Rhone to the Mediterranean, so the air is not at Alpine as I feared.
Moreover, people are growing a fig tree and bamboo in their yards and gardens.
The city is located at the confluence of the river Drac into the Isere
Above the confluence is the fort that was originally called the Bastille and it have the cable cars that are going with spherical cabins and on top there is the most beautiful urban viewpoint that I saw.The city is nice and steady, though  cigarette butts on the sidewalks are not devoided. Also, the sidewalks are rich deposits of dog poop, so that the movement of the streets requires constant vigilance. Arrangement of streets is not suffering  from too much regularity, especially in the part where we were staying and where the festival was taking place. There is almost no real angle between the streets. However, the great thing is that in almost on every corner is writen the name of that street, and you got a table with a map of the designated area and designated place where you are standing, so it very hard to get lost.

Public transport is heavily reliant on the trams, which are fancy and comfortable, and they are not crowded, you can rarely seen more than 10 passengers.
The city has about 160,000 inhabitants, and the wider metropolitan area of about half a million.

The population is predominantly French, but about every third person you might meet on the street is different race (Blacks, Arabs, Turks, Vietnamese, Indians, Chinese, Cambodians, and others), so the city is very multicultural.
Almost everybody speaks French but there are few people speaking English, especially the Frenchmens.
There are the streets with interesting names such as. Stalingrad or King Alexander I Karageorgievich. There is a park of Karl Marx too.

The government in the last ten years held by Socialists, who came to power after a corruption scandal  that have stucked in prison the right-wing former mayor. But he's out of jail and he want to run again, and they say that he has a good chance.
The city hasn’t got distinctive tourist attractions in terms of architecture from bygone times, but there are a lot of nice cluster of streets in the center, with lots of small shops.
In general, the center just smells good: you can smell some nice perfumes or some nice spices and smells from the bakery.

Bakeries are everywhere, more than in and as far as fast food, standard grub their kebab. Alcoholic content is not sold after 20 or 21 hour, and almost nothing is working  after that time.
